🧭 Making Better Decisions
Life is a series of choices.
Some small.
Some life-altering.
All of them shaping who we become.
But most of us aren't taught how to make good decisions — we just make them, hope for the best, and deal with the consequences.
So how do we decide better?
1. Zoom Out Before You Zoom In
When you’re stuck between two options, try stepping back.
Ask yourself:
- What matters most to me in the long term?
- Will this matter in 6 months? A year?
- What’s the why behind this choice?
Perspective often brings clarity that urgency hides.
2. Use Principles, Not Just Pros and Cons
Lists are useful. But principles are stronger.
Decide based on:
- Your values
- Your boundaries
- Your vision for the future
When decisions align with your principles, regret rarely follows.
3. Accept That Certainty Is a Myth
Waiting for 100% clarity is a trap.
Most good decisions are made with partial information and full intention.
Don’t aim for perfection.
Aim for progress, alignment, and awareness.
4. Learn From Every Outcome
A good decision can still lead to a bad result — and vice versa.
What matters is the process:
- Did you stay true to your values?
- Did you gather enough insight?
- Did you reflect before acting?
If yes — trust yourself. The outcome is just part of the journey.
